Principal

Mr. Daniel Coffey, principal of Benjamin Franklin School.

Mr. Coffey began his teaching career in 1986 at Israel Putnam School where he taught fourth grade for thirteen years. He taught Math/literature for two years and was an Instructional Associate for three years.

Born, raised and educated in Meriden, Mr. Coffey received his Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Central Connecticut State University in 1984. He received his Master of Science Degree in 1992 and his Sixth-year Degree in Educational Leadership in 2000 from Southern Connecticut State University.

Mr. Coffey enjoys sports, hiking and spending time with his wife and three daughters.
